Yes, Tata Salt Plus is just like regular Tata Salt in appearance. It is pure white in colour, has consistent granule size and dissolves perfectly in food while cooking. However storage of Tata Salt Plus requires some attention. Iron present in Tata Salt Plus can react with metallic utensils or spoons causing darkening of the salt. For this reason, Tata Salt Plus should be stored in plastic, glass or ceramic containers.

No, the taste of food is not impacted and is the same as food made with regular salt.

Some food items like pulses, rice, potato and vegetables may turn dark on addition of Tata Salt Plus. This is due to iron availability in Tata Salt Plus. For example, food cooked in an Iron Kadhai becomes darker. However, even if colour darkens or changes, the food is perfectly safe for human consumption. This has been verified through testing of Tata Salt Plus and food cooked with it in accredited labs and institutes such as NTC (Study code no: 502a/1112).
