Recently we have come across instances where misinformation on iodised salt, along with malicious and defamatory contents regarding Tata Salt is being transmitted through SMS, email, social media posts & WhatsApp messages. We wish to inform all our valued customers and the general public that there is no truth to any of the messages that you may have received or might receive and the facts are given below.

Tata Salt is produced from natural sea water in Devbhumi Dwarka district in Gujarat. It is made through a process of solar evaporation followed by technologically advanced Vaccum Evaporation process to deliver a consistently high quality product, which is purer than regular refined salt, making it amongst the noted Indian food brands.

All edible salt sold in India, is mandated by law to be iodized, to tackle Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD) in the country.According to Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Government of India, adequate salt iodisation in India has saved 4 billion IQ points in the last two decades and played a critical role in the battle to eradicate endemic goiter in the country.
